SWAT in the Community: SWAT Teams work on local tobacco prenvention activities and community service programs. Local SWAT Teams make up the foundation of the SWAT Community effort and are the focus of this guide. Any group of youth in grades 4-6 can form a SWAT Team. SWAT in the Classroom: Trained teachers incorporate tobacco-related learning activities into existing curricula. The Partnership provides them the necessary classroom and training resources free of charge. SWAT on the Road includes a VW Beetle custom-painted with SWAT colors, Sgt. SWAT and the web site address. A SWAT Health Educator travels the state in this unique vehicle, designed to serve as a roaming mascot for the SWAT program. Using interactive games and educational activities, this program reinforces the lessons taught in the classroom.
